Welcome to Daylesford Community Childcare!

We are a not-for-profit centre run by a parent committee in Daylesford, in the Hepburn Shire. Our centre has 79 spaces available for children between six weeks of age and including school aged children in our Outside School Hours Care. We operate five rooms in the centre, including two years of integrated kindergarten.

We oversee Family Day Care services across the shire, with a collection of educators providing education and care for children up to 13 years of age in their homes.  Family Day Care offers In-Venue Family Day Care provided in an approved venue such as a school or community hall.

Our Outside School Hours Care services collects children from Hepburn Primary, Daylesford Primary, Daylesford Dharma School and St Michaels Primary School and provides an educational program every afternoon during school terms. Each school holidays, we run a holiday program to school-aged children that attracts childcare subsidy.

Our centre was founded in 1989 and is an Incorporated Association and managed by parents who form a Committee of Management. We provide accredited quality care and aim to encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process, to experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and to pursue their own interests in the context of life in the community and the world.

Daylesford Community Childcare Centre is on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung People and we acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present & emerging.
